Vertical Split Oven

Unconventional in several senses, Thermcraft’s Vertical Split Open Oven was designed for clients with unique thermal processing needs. It is a floor-standing, cylindrical oven with an internal diameter of 46” and a heated length of 80”. This large workshop footprint was necessary for accommodating the bulky cylindrical workpieces the facility was handling daily.

Workflow and throughput requirements also demanded that these pieces could be easily loaded and unloaded for rapid and effective heat treatment processes. Thermcraft facilitated this with a bespoke split clamshell design, enabling two sides of the Vertical Split Open Oven to hinge outwards without compromising the efficiency of the heating elements or insulation.
